Our Story

Our story started online with a truly terrible dad joke from Anna, and to Roy's (bad) luck, the jokes haven't stopped since. We met as students and have navigated our way into adulthood side by side. She grew up between Hungary and Austria, he comes from Israel, and together we've made Vienna our home.

We share our lives with our 11-year-old Siamese cat, Merlin, who firmly believes he is the one running the household.

Anna is the planner, fueled by spreadsheets and backup plans, while Roy is the calm presence who reminds us to enjoy the moment. Somehow, it works beautifully. We love traveling the world together, even though Anna keeps finding reasons to route our trips back to Japan. Music is also a big part of our lives; ever since Roy took Anna to see Bring Me The Horizon, you'll regularly find us at heavy metal concerts and festivals.

More than anything, we love throwing a good party and spending time with our favorite people. We are so excited for a relaxed sunset celebration at Hilltop Borbirtok filled with great food, good music and incredible memories with our family and friends. We can't wait to share it with you.

Venue & Travel

Hilltop Borbirtok sits above the Danube in Neszmély, in the wine region between Budapest and Vienna.

From Budapest Airport

About 1½ hours by car (≈110 km) from Liszt Ferenc Airport (BUD). Please share your arrival plans in your RSVP so we can get a better picture where everyone is travelling from and help with transportation.

From Budapest

About 1 hour by car (≈75 km) via the M1 motorway, or by train to Almásfüzitő vasútállomás or Tata vasútállomás, followed by a short taxi ride.

From Vienna

About 2 hours by car (≈150 km) via the A4/M1 motorway. We're setting up a WhatsApp group for guests coming from Vienna, so you can share rides. Just tick the option in your RSVP.

what to wear

Dress Code

Pastels

Light fabrics, soft pastels, and florals. Our wedding palette is filled with beautiful pastels, and you are very welcome to join the color scheme! To give you a better idea of the vibe, we put together a Pinterest inspiration board linked below with guest outfit ideas. There is absolutely no pressure to match the theme, though. We just want you to wear whatever makes you feel your best and ready to celebrate.

Tip: The ceremony may be on grass, so block heels (or flats) are your friends. A light layer for after sunset might be practical.

How do I RSVP?

What should I wear?

How do I get from the airport to the venue?

Please share your flight number or landing time in your RSVP, or let us know if you’re staying in Budapest before or after the wedding. This will help us understand everyone’s travel plans and help with transportation.

I'm coming from Vienna. How do I get there?

We'll add you to our “Wedding Guests from Vienna” WhatsApp group for easier coordination. Just tick the option in your RSVP.

Is there parking at the venue?

Yes, free parking is available at the venue.

Where should I stay?

Either close to the venue (see the recommended hotels in the Accommodation section) or in Budapest.

I have dietary requirements. What should I do?

Tell us in the RSVP. There is a field for each guest, and we will make sure the kitchen takes good care of you.

Who can I contact with other questions?

Just message us on WhatsApp. Anna has probably already thought of the answer.

What gets you moving?
